Saint-Tropez

The most famous village on the Riviera is only a 30-minute drive from La Ménado! Stroll along the Vieux Port harbourfront and through the picturesque lanes in the old village, spend an afternoon shopping or have tea and a slice of the famous Tarte Tropézienne, and don't forget to admire the panoramic view over the Gulf from the Citadel… Do you do you Saint-Tropez! Bonporteau beach

Here in Cavalaire we call this spot our "little paradise". A timeless beach in an unspoilt setting: access to the cove and its fine sand and crystal clear waters is via a path lined with eucalyptus trees and wild palm trees. On the programme: snorkelling, sunbathing and scrambling over the rocks to find the best views.

Le cap Lardier

Of the three capes on the Saint-Tropez peninsula, Cap Lardier is the most wooded. This unspoilt site is listed on the Inventory of Protected sites and boasts a 6-kilometre trail where you can ramble through the pine woods along the coast. There is also a coastal path that takes you from Gigaro beach to L’Escalet beach.

Le Fenouillet trail

If you had to choose one nature walk around Cavalaire, this would be the one. One expression sums up this 4.5 km loop: between land and sea. Breathtaking vistas over the Iles d’Or, a wild beach, the fauna and flora of the garrigue: a fiesta for your senses!

Maison Foncin

Often called the "white house" or "Casteou dou souleou" (castle of the sun in Provençal). This mysterious manor house overlooking the sea is nestled in a corner of the Corniche des Maures. Its 15 hectares of grounds, which are looked after by the Conservatoire du Littoral, are open for guided tours.

Sentier du dattier

A walking trail between land and sea a stone's throw from the centre of Cavalaire-sur-Mer which will truly awaken your senses. Choose your reward: a picnic on Bonporteau beach, a parade of seascapes or a visit to the Maison Foncin at the top of the Pointe du Dattier.

Ramatuelle

Get to the source of the myth of Saint-Tropez by booking a deck chair on Pampelonne beach. Nature lovers will enjoy discovering Cap Taillat, the Camarat lighthouse or the Rocher des Portes (nicknamed "bird island"). Ramatuelle is also a medieval village with a peaceful charm about it which retains an authentically Mediterranean feel.

Massif des Maures

60 kilometres to discover Wild Provence. The Provence of cork oaks and chestnut groves, villages clinging on the mountainside (Collobrières or La Garde Freinet) and some of the most beautiful beaches in Var. With the GR9 or GR90, there are hiking routes for hikers of every level, punctuated by the song of the cicadas.

Port Grimaud

It's not for nothing that Port Grimaud is sometimes called the Little Venice of Provence. A lakeside town and "20th century heritage site" featuring canals and colourful façades. A beautiful setting for a romantic dinner or evening stroll - when you can also pick up lots of interesting craft items.

Îles d'Hyères

Porquerolles, Port-Cros or Le Levant? These three jewels can often feel like the end of the world. You can visit the Îles d’Or (golden islands) archipelago, as the islands are also nicknamed, during the day by taking a boat from the Giens peninsula or even from Cavalaire. And if you are really lucky, you might spot a dolphin or two on the way!

Bormes-les-Mimosas

A medieval village perched on the Provence Wine Road and a place to discover the Mediterranean way of life.
